Brain Doctor or a Neurosurgeon – Whom should you visit?

Neurology is a study of the nervous system which regulates and coordinates body activities. The nervous system is a complex structure and can be divided into: 1. Central nervous system - The brain and spinal cord. 2. Peripheral nervous system - Neural elements, such as eyes, ears, skin, and other "sensory receptors". One who specializes in the field of neurology is a neurosurgeon and treats:  1. Cerebra- vascular disease, such as stroke. Stroke is a medical emergency when the supply of blood is interrupted to parts of the brain causing the death of cells due to lack of oxygen and nutrient supply. This can be cured and prevented if treated timely. 2.
